We're showing at MONIKER ART FAIR in MANHATTAN MAY 1-5th

ANNOUNCING - We're excited to be a part of this new contemporary and urban art show, Moniker Art Fair!

Dates: May 1-5th

Location: 718 Broadway, Noho, lower Manhattan (map location)

Here's a sneak peek of all the new work we'll be showcasing -

IMAGINED CITY

Each of these four artists playfully address the city in which we live, but through their own curious lenses, they reflect new stories of their own imaginations. Observing patterns, these artists manipulate time to disrupt the natural order of the city to embrace surprise. Their work captures a glimpse of a city that we know, but may be out of sync with time, context, or place. The result is an invigorating new vantage point asking us to explore our city with a spirit of curiosity, experimentation and imagination.

Jake Wallace’s mixed media works of spray paint, acrylic, found elements and silkscreen paintings create imagined cities (many of his photographs capture buildings that no longer exist) and layers up his compositions as does a city that is constantly rebuilding itself.

Facture Studio creates architectural-inspired sculptural furniture. Their futuristic resin work directly reflects the patternicity of the urban skyline and captures the glowing, fading, vibrant neon lights of the city holding tight to it’s afterglow.

Facture Studio - Shifted Cube Boxes (Side tables / Stools), Resin and wood, $2,600, 2019

Tiffany Walling McGarity & John McGarity question our perception of time by slowing down the city’s movement, translating it’s bright lights into something more organic like a murmuration of birds. Their shutter speed acts as a stream of consciousness with a sense of openness and a reluctance to over-plan inviting an element of surprise.

Ian Trask is a scientist-turned-artist who explores wasted materials of the city to create sculptures that are both culturally relevant and timeless. It’s within these curious new combinations that he shifts their own histories telling uniquely new stories. His Homage series intertwines found skateboards with fabric rolls abandoned from a factory.
