Introducing the Horse Carbon Steel Camping Knife. Horse loves getting into the adventure zone and this amazing tool is the perfect side-kick. Handmade at the Horse Cycles workshop in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Inspired by traditional Scandinavian blades of the past – this knife is made of 1095 high carbon blade steel, is 3/32 thick and will hold up to any task. A narrow Scandi Grind runs the length of the blade showing the hand grind making each blade unique.
Hand stamped with the "Horse" logo and the origin of manufacturing, "U.S.A." Each blade is brought up to a brilliant polish and a fine secondary edge is meticulously honed making for the sharpest edge. Fiber glass handle in Brick Red.
Each knife is offered with an optional leather sheath hand stamped and made by master leather smith and Horse friend & neighbor, Will Lisak from ETWAS bags. The sheaths are just as durable and beautiful as the blade made out of thick cut vegetable tanned-leather, hand stamped with the HORSE logo.

Blade maintenance:
High carbon steel is superior to stainless in that it holds a sharper edge and holds it's edge longer. It is, however susceptible to oxidation. This patina gives the blade character over time, but requires a little up-keep. Simply rub the blade with the back of the sponge (the abrasive side) to shine it up, then wipe it dry. Put a little olive or cooking oil on the blade from time to time.
